Project Summary
Intelligent Wearable Robotics
Development of intelligent wearable robotic devices
- to augment individual skills
- to improve workflow
- improve task performance
- explore HRI in the realm of physical interactions
- use as a body-mounted two-hand haptic interface for VR
Research Goals
- Develop series of wearable robotic arms each more capable than the previous
- Test candidate designs and revise specifications for each next generation design
- Support experimentation with arm commanding via NLP, gesterual input, gaze tracking, haptic demonstration and other modalities
